Plastics fire causes road delays
Fire crews from across the county were still battling a recycling plant blaze more than 12 hours after it started.
The fire on Long Lane, Great Heck was reported at about 5pm yesterday and at its height 12 pumps from North, West and South Yorkshire attended the fire, which was said to involve more than 100 tons of plastic.
A spokesman said major road delays were expected in the area as a result.
