“It is a huge achievement for us and just highlights the great startups in Yorkshire right now.

A practising barrister herself, Ms Walker founded JUST: Access with the goal of making information more accessible after becoming frustrated by the costs and accessibility of legal transcripts.

The company’s vision is to “democratise legal services” by enabling people to access the tools they need.

Last years winners, for TechNation Rising Stars 4.0 event, included Yorkshire-based firm Iatro.

Iatro is a builder of digital primary care solutions for the NHS, and GP practice websites.
